Ricardo Zorita took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Javier Milei, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 33rd minute, Luis Rubio hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ricardo Zorita made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Javier Milei in the 34th minute of play. Luis Rubio didn't get a good kick on the ball. During the 48th minute of the match Mateo Leguizamo completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Mateo Leguizamo a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. A collision led to El Salvador getting a freekick after 49 minutes play. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The wind increased when Kaká Tua made the kick off in the second half. In the 64th play minute Kaká Tua came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Ricardo Zorita. 0-2. After 67 played minutes ✴ ᑭᕮᒪᑌᑕᕼᕮ ✴ got a freekick which was hit by Teo Vitin. Luis Rubio charged in rather forcefully in the 71st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Luis Rubio the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, El Salvador's Luis Rubio got a free kick in the 71st minute. 74 minutes into the game, Kaká Tua cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-3. Ricardo Zorita was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After 79 played minutes El Salvador got a freekick which was hit by Luis Rubio. Luis Rubio got his second yellow card in the match during the 82nd minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. In the 83rd match minute, El Salvador was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Luis Rubio to maneuver through the defense. 88 minutes in the game Moises Fernandino did a throw-in, and the ball was quickly in game thanks to Abram Luque. Kaká Tua sent away a hard shot on goal in the 93rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. ✴ ᑭᕮᒪᑌᑕᕼᕮ ✴ walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
