Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Costa Rica's Axel Tasis started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Novorizontino - DMZ's Oscar Dos Santos managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Efrain Moruga in the 3 minute of the game. Hugo Ferrant kicked well hit freekick during the 3rd minute of the match. Raimundo Vinhas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 5th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The throw-in from Hugo Ferrant in the 14th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Novorizontino - DMZ's German Berto. 17 minutes into the game, Hugo Ferrant threw the ball into play from the sideline. Novorizontino - DMZ's Kristoffer Dalkvist quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. Benito Sanz came out of the goal in the 18th minute to try and stop a shot by Novorizontino - DMZ's Raimundo Vinhas. But to his dismay, Raimundo Vinhas quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Axel Tasis in the 21st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Martín Silva prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Raimundo Vinhas's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Benito Sanz read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 25th minute of play. Benito Sanz made a fantastic save in the 27th minute, when Raimundo Vinhas sent off a good shot on target. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Hugo Ferrant during the 32nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Hugo Ferrant kicked well hit freekick during the 32nd minute of the match. A hard shot by Oscar Dos Santos from long distance, 33 minutes into the match, got Benito Sanz's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. 38 minutes into the game, Costa Rica's Axel Tasis nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Martín Silva made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. In the 40th minute Aaron Alcocer shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Martín Silva saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Kristoffer Dalkvist sent away a hard shot on goal in the 43rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Kristoffer Dalkvist might have been able to make a better finish in the 45th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Benito Sanz. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Kristoffer Dalkvist ran back to his position shaking his head. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Kristoffer Dalkvist was the one to do the kick off. After 51 played minutes Eliseo Noboa rounded Novorizontino - DMZ's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 1-2. After a rather tough play, Novorizontino - DMZ's Kristoffer Dalkvist got a free kick in the 53rd minute. Juan Rubio hit a great freekick 76 minutes into the match. In the 79th minute, Raimundo Vinhas got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alan Moruga in the 84th minute of play forced Novorizontino - DMZ's goalkeeper Martín Silva to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Kristoffer Dalkvist scored 2-2 in the 90th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Benito Sanz, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Costa Rica succeeded in salvaging a draw, even though Novorizontino - DMZ had controlled the match.
