Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Leopoldo Luque started the match with the kick off. 2 minutes into the match, DirectorVisual.com's goal looked a bit too open when Felix Montenegro came free, but Mauro Iruinea reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. DirectorVisual.com's Leopoldo Luque got a good chance for a goal in the 8th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Gonzalo Montiel recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 17th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Mauro Iruinea showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Daniel Zorita, who was totally free with the ball in the 19th minute. Cristian Sancho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 21st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 30th minute Daniel Zorita shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mauro Iruinea saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 30th minute, Daniel Zorita left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Ecuador fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Federico Urtats received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 36th minute. Julio Vera tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After having played for 40 minutes, Daniel Zorita managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ecuador's supporters crossed their fingers, but Daniel Zorita was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Mauro Iruinea took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Felix Montenegro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some careless play in the DirectorVisual.com defense, Felix Montenegro kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Mauro Iruinea. The DirectorVisual.com fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Mauro Iruinea should have stopped the shot.

Ecuador's Luis Andino got a good chance for a goal in the 51st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in DirectorVisual.com's zone, Daniel Zorita stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Mauro Iruinea came out of the goal and Daniel Zorita tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Agustín Saelices received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 58th minute. Mauro Iruinea tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Mauro Iruinea showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Daniel Zorita in the 62nd minute of the match. Mauro Iruinea made an important save on a dangerous shot by Cristian Sancho in the 63rd minute. In the 65th minute of the match Ecuador got a corner. DirectorVisual.com's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Daniel Zorita ran over to the corner to take the kick. A very nice done corner allowed Luis Andino to score against Mauro Iruinea in DirectorVisual.com's goal. 0-3 after 66 minutes. In the 71st minute of the match, Felix Montenegro got a very nice opportunity to score, but Mauro Iruinea was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. A collision led to Ecuador getting a freekick after 74 minutes play. Camilo Gisbert hit a great ball. 74 minutes into the match, DirectorVisual.com's Oscar Ruggeri sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Julio Vera narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Luis Andino blasted a shot towards the goal in the 77th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Mauro Iruinea having to make a save. Daniel Zorita struck a weak shot in the 79th minute. Mauro Iruinea didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ecuador. DirectorVisual.com's Hernán Crespo was substituted for Leopoldo Luque. Ecuador's Julio Vera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Federico Urtats in the 82nd minute of play. DirectorVisual.com's Mauro Iruinea played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cristian Sancho in the 85th minute of play. Matías Kranevitter sent away a hard shot on goal in the 89th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Cristian Sancho could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 94th minute of the match, but Mauro Iruinea made a huge save. After 96 minutes, Hernán Crespo made it 1-3 with a short kick to the right side. Ecuador's Julio Vera tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Ecuador's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
