Spectators: 47 (Terracing: 36, Seating: 11, VIP seats: 0) After a defensive mix-up in Estudiantes de Merida FC's zone, Lautaro Mancebo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Bambang Sagala came out of the goal and Lautaro Mancebo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After having played for 6 minutes, Lautaro Mancebo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Mexico's supporters crossed their fingers, but Lautaro Mancebo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Bambang Sagala made a fantastic save in the 9th minute, when Alberto Tafalla sent off a good shot on target. Lautaro Mancebo might have been able to make a better finish in the 10th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Bambang Sagala. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Lautaro Mancebo ran back to his position shaking his head. Bambang Sagala made an important save on a dangerous shot by Lautaro Mancebo in the 12th minute. Mexico were awarded a corner in the 13th minute after Estudiantes de Merida FC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Joel Gaona took the corner. The corner ended in Luca Zorita almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Estudiantes de Merida FC's Bambang Sagala did a great save. Lautaro Mancebo's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Bambang Sagala firmly grabbed it by the left post. 15 minutes had been played when some careless play by Estudiantes de Merida FC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Joel Gaona was slow to take the kick. During this time Mexico's players had a chance to rest. Mexico's Joel Gaona was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Bambang Sagala in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Dante Lacasa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Claudinei Canido in the 22nd minute of the match. In the 24th match minute, Estudiantes de Merida FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Blagoy Gardakov to maneuver through the defense. If Lautaro Mancebo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Mexico's Lautaro Mancebo got a free kick in the 26th minute. In the 28th minute of the match, Lautaro Mancebo got a very nice opportunity to score, but Bambang Sagala was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. After a rather tough play, Estudiantes de Merida FC's Emiliano Lesardo got a free kick in the 30th minute. An unexpected shot in the 31st minute by Lautaro Mancebo got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Dante Lacasa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Honorio Lario in the 33rd minute of play. After 36 played minutes Estudiantes de Merida FC got a freekick which was hit by Moncho Arzube. Lautaro Mancebo came free with the goalkeeper in the 37th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Bambang Sagala could save by the left post. Lautaro Mancebo struck a weak shot in the 42nd minute. Bambang Sagala didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Mexico. Gustaaf Van Den Wijngaert hit a great freekick 47 minutes into the match. With a little luck, Estudiantes de Merida FC's Bambang Sagala got control of the ball when Lautaro Mancebo tried to sneak it across the goal line. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The wind increased when Emiliano Lesardo made the kick off in the second half. In the 54th match minute, Estudiantes de Merida FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bladimir Morales to maneuver through the defense. Mexico's Joel Gaona couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 55th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Estudiantes de Merida FC. Alberto Tafalla received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 58th minute. Bambang Sagala tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Bambang Sagala made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alberto Tafalla in the 66th minute of play. In the 70th minute of the match Mexico got a corner. Estudiantes de Merida FC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Joel Gaona ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner led to Mexico's Lautaro Mancebo getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. Lautaro Mancebo blasted a shot towards the goal in the 73rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Bambang Sagala having to make a save. Bambang Sagala took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lautaro Mancebo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 77th minute of the match Mexico got a corner. Estudiantes de Merida FC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Joel Gaona ran over to the corner to take the kick. Bambang Sagala stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Facundo Cadaval's shot from short distance in the 78th minute. Lautaro Mancebo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 80th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 82nd minute Claudinei Canido shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dante Lacasa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Estudiantes de Merida FC's Bambang Sagala played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alberto Tafalla in the 83rd minute of play. Mexico's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Joel Gaona in the 86th minute. With a little luck, Mexico's Dante Lacasa got control of the ball when Honorio Lario tried to sneak it across the goal line. Estudiantes de Merida FC's Bambang Sagala played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lautaro Mancebo in the 88th minute of play. After 90 played minutes Estudiantes de Merida FC got a freekick which was hit by Garci Vaz. Dante Lacasa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Marcelino Quinten in the 93rd minute of the match. Dante Lacasa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Claudinei Canido, who was totally free with the ball in the 96th minute. Mexico were disappointed that they only managed a draw, even though they felt themselves to be the better team.
