Australian Youth Academy's Ollie Flesfadar quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. Dani Cochrane showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tomas Illescas, who was totally free with the ball in the 21st minute. Dani Cochrane showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Patricio Costa in the 22nd minute of the match. When Venezuela's Tomas Illescas in the 24th minute got a chance for a shot 24th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Dani Cochrane was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Dani Cochrane showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tomas Illescas in the 33rd minute of the match. 35 minutes into the match, Australian Youth Academy's goal looked a bit too open when Tomas Illescas came free, but Dani Cochrane reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the match had gone on for 36 minutes, Tomas Illescas put it in 0-2 from a short distance just to the right of Dani Cochrane. Roberto Ocampo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dani Cochrane having to interfere. Disappointed in the 0-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Tomas Illescas to strike the kick off in the second half. The throw-in from Salvador Gisbert in the 57th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Australian Youth Academy's Ollie Flesfadar. The supporters of Australian Youth Academy booed when Venezuela was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 59 match minutes in a wonderful position. Salvador Gisbert didn't get a good kick on the ball. 63 minutes into the game, Salvador Gisbert threw the ball into play from the sideline. Australian Youth Academy's Herman Heberle quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. Alex Chicote got a throw-in 68 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Roberto Ocampo. 69 minutes into the game, Tomas Illescas lined in a short shot 0-5 behind a frustrated Dani Cochrane. Tomas Illescas didn't miss a given chance and shot in short distance 0-6 via right post in the game's 73rd minute. Venezuela's supporters showed their exhuberating excitement! A throw-in in the 76th minute of the game was made by Tomas Illescas with Camilo Gaos as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. The throw-in from Salvador Gisbert in the 78th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Australian Youth Academy's Ollie Flesfadar. Australian Youth Academy's Dani Cochrane proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 86th minute of the match, managed to save Australian Youth Academy from getting a goal against them. Tomas Illescas made a well adjusted shot against goal in the 86thth minute coming free in front of the goal, but Dani Cochrane would not let the ball come through at any expense and made a nice save by the left post. If Tomas Illescas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Tomas Illescas in the 89th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Dani Cochrane saved Australian Youth Academy from getting behind. Dani Cochrane stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Tomas Illescas's shot from short distance in the 89th minute. 96 minutes into the match, Australian Youth Academy's goalkeeper Dani Cochrane had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Tomas Illescas. The Australian Youth Academy fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Venezuela were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
