Spectators: 50 (Terracing: 38, Seating: 11, VIP seats: 1) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Garth Brough got the match started through his kick off. Garth Brough's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 2ndth minute, Joaquin Gayoso skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Joaquin Gayoso made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ellis Hoskin in the 4th minute. Garth Brough scored 1-0 in the 5th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Joaquin Gayoso, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Ellis Hoskin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 8th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Joaquin Gayoso having to interfere. In the 9th minute, Camilo Covarrubias hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 10 minutes into the game, Camilo Covarrubias was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Uruguay's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Australian Youth Academy the free kick. Garth Brough shot the penalty kick by force right in the crossbar. No goal. When the match had gone on for 14 minutes, Garth Brough took a quick shot and it went in 2-0 without a chance for Joaquin Gayoso to make any attempt to save it. Joaquin Gayoso was a little too slow when Garth Brough got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 33rd minute. The score was now 4-0. Garth Brough sent away a hard shot on goal in the 36th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Francisco Seco received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 39th minute. Keylor Navas tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Joaquin Gayoso made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 5-0. Garth Brough blasted a shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Joaquin Gayoso having to make a save. Rufus Roach was slow to take the kick. During this time Australian Youth Academy's players had a chance to rest. A collision led to Uruguay getting a freekick after 78 minutes play. Jorge Sainz kicked well hit freekick during the 82nd minute of the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Garth Brough in the 93rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Joaquin Gayoso saved Uruguay from getting behind. Australian Youth Academy were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Uruguay for a fine match.
