Spectators: 43 (Terracing: 33, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) Abram Sarmiento made the kick off and thus started the match. Pascual Carballar blasted a shot towards the goal in the 3rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Ruy Montenegro having to make a save. In the 10th minute, Gernando Azevedo ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Pedro Manzanares was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. Gernando Azevedo struck a weak shot in the 13th minute. Pedro Manzanares didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Los Andes FC - FSCMZ. If Gernando Azevedo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 15th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Los Andes FC - FSCMZ's Ruy Montenegro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Axel Montenegro in the 20th minute of play. Pedro Manzanares showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gernando Azevedo in the 25th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Los Andes FC - FSCMZ's Fortunato Froněk got a free kick in the 27th minute. Abram Sarmiento took the ball and in the 29 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Ruy Montenegro. Ruy Montenegro dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Axel Montenegro in the 32nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ruy Montenegro saved Los Andes FC - FSCMZ from getting behind. Pedro Manzanares didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Gernando Azevedo went, in the 35th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-1 was the resulting score. Ruy Montenegro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Axel Montenegro, who was totally free with the ball in the 40th minute. The supporters of Los Andes FC - FSCMZ booed when Colombia was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 47 match minutes in a wonderful position. Antonio Indiano didn't get a good kick on the ball. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-1.

With an all-out effort, Colombia's Ruy Montenegro threw himself towards the right post 57 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Santino Seco, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. After a defensive mix-up in Colombia's zone, Gernando Azevedo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Pedro Manzanares came out of the goal and Gernando Azevedo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 63rd minute Santino Seco shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ruy Montenegro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Gernando Azevedo came up free with the goalie in the 64th minute, the Los Andes FC - FSCMZ fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gernando Azevedo couldn't finish the play. Pedro Manzanares made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gernando Azevedo in the 66th minute of play. In the 68thth minute of the game Gernando Azevedo who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Colombia's Pedro Manzanares was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Colombia's Ignacio Mastache was substituted for Abram Sarmiento. Colombia's Abram Secada was substituted for Axel Montenegro. An unexpectedly hard shot by Arjen Robben in the 74th minute of play forced Colombia's goalkeeper Pedro Manzanares to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 75 minutes had been played when some careless play by Colombia's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Arjen Robben was slow to take the kick. During this time Los Andes FC - FSCMZ's players had a chance to rest. During the 77th minute of the match Antonio Indiano completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Antonio Indiano a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. In the 78th match minute, Colombia was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Antonio Indiano to maneuver through the defense. Los Andes FC - FSCMZ's Hayrullah Özgun was substituted for Fred Monteiro. After a rather tough play, Colombia's Antonio Indiano got a free kick in the 79th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 81st minute, Gernando Azevedo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Los Andes FC - FSCMZ's supporters rose to their feet, but Gernando Azevedo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Pedro Manzanares breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 84 minutes into the match, Ignacio Mastache notched a goal, 2-2, to the right of Los Andes FC - FSCMZ's Ruy Montenegro. Ruy Montenegro was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 89 minutes into the game, Colombia's Abram Secada nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Ruy Montenegro made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-3. Abram Secada kicked well hit freekick during the 91st minute of the match. In the 97th minute Kevin Mastache managed to get in a great position but fired away a sharp shot that went outside the goal on the goalie's right hand side. It could just as well have been a goal. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Colombia eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
