But to his dismay, Paulino Sayvion quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Benito Sanz didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Monte Susanin went, in the 7th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. Benito Sanz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Paulino Sayvion, who was totally free with the ball in the 11th minute. Benito Sanz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Monte Susanin in the 13th minute of the match. After 17 minutes, Monte Susanin made it 0-3 with a short kick to the right side. Costa Rica's Benito Sanz tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. The Old Boys made a substitution. Yang Ning Wei replaced Gogo Hondo. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Axel Tasis to make the kick off. 53 minutes into the match, Yang Ning Wei had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Benito Sanz. Costa Rica's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Yang Ning Wei was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-9. The audience thought a goal was coming when Wang Kun Yang got free with Benito Sanz in the 58th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. With his leg Benito Sanz managed to avoid a goal in the 62ndth minute, when The Old Boys's Wang Kun Yang fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. If Yang Ning Wei had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Costa Rica's Benito Sanz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lucio Guifre in the 64th minute of play. Lucio Guifre who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 65thth minute tested the skills of Benito Sanz when he managed to save the team from getting behind. After 67 minutes of play, The Old Boys's Lucio Guifre made it 0-10 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Benito Sanz was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 73rd minute, Wang Kun Yang got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. A hard shot 78 in the game by Yang Ning Wei from a close distance when the talented Benito Sanz managed to make a qualified save. Costa Rica's players were relieved. An unexpectedly hard shot by Wang Kun Yang in the 79th minute of play forced Costa Rica's goalkeeper Benito Sanz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 83 minutes into the match, Costa Rica's goal looked a bit too open when Florentino Dolfo came free, but Benito Sanz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 85 minutes into the match, The Old Boys's Lucio Guifre sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Benito Sanz narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Isidro Gartzi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 90th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 93 minutes into the match, Yang Ning Wei notched a goal, 0-14, to the right of Costa Rica's Benito Sanz. Benito Sanz was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. When the final whistle sounded The Old Boys left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Costa Rica.
