He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Mexico reached it. In the 16th minute of the match, Lautaro Mancebo got a very nice opportunity to score, but Rigoberto Txerran was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Mexico's Joel Gaona got a good chance for a goal in the 17th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. A collision led to Languiñeo FC getting a freekick after 19 minutes play. Desiderio Rutenio hit a great ball. Rigoberto Txerran made a fantastic save in the 19th minute, when Joel Gaona sent off a good shot on target. Rigoberto Txerran showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Joel Gaona, who was totally free with the ball in the 22nd minute. Enzo Totakoxe took the ball and in the 34 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Dante Lacasa. Mexico's Lautaro Mancebo got a good chance for a goal in the 48th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Joel Gaona was the one to do the kick off. After some fancy dribbling in the 52nd minute, Joel Gaona managed to get in a good position for a shot. Mexico's supporters rose to their feet, but Joel Gaona was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Rigoberto Txerran breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Lautaro Mancebo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 61st minute. Rigoberto Txerran tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 62 played minutes Mexico got a freekick which was hit by Luca Zorita. Alberto Tafalla fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rigoberto Txerran having to interfere. Languiñeo FC made a substitution. Victorio Frasquito replaced Ermegildo Abeita. After 88 played minutes Languiñeo FC got a freekick which was hit by Silvio Haimar. If Alberto Tafalla had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a little luck, Mexico's Dante Lacasa got control of the ball when Bartolo Izel tried to sneak it across the goal line. Although Mexico had been in control for most of the match, Languiñeo FC still came away with the win.
