The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 3 minutes into the match, Chile's Mariano Lacasa sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Godfredo Abarca narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After 7 minutes of play, BEIJO CARNAVAL's Adam Jönsson made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Thiago Pliego was left in no man's land by his defense there! Godfredo Abarca made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mariano Lacasa in the 11th minute of play. After 16 minutes of play, BEIJO CARNAVAL's Adam Jönsson made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Thiago Pliego was left in no man's land by his defense there! Godfredo Abarca made a fantastic save in the 24th minute, when Orlando Casaus sent off a good shot on target. In the 27th minute, Siro Paio hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Godfredo Abarca showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mariano Lacasa, who was totally free with the ball in the 35th minute. Mariano Lacasa could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 38th minute of the match, but Godfredo Abarca made a huge save. In the 41st minute, Mariano Lacasa ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Godfredo Abarca was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-2. In the 44th minute, Siro Paio hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The Chile players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Mariano Lacasa was the one to do the kick off. 52 minutes into the game, Adam Jönsson lined in a short shot 1-3 behind a frustrated Thiago Pliego. A collision led to BEIJO CARNAVAL getting a freekick after 54 minutes play. Romulo Arias hit a great ball. In the 56th minute Mariano Lacasa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Godfredo Abarca saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 59th minute, Alonzo Lazcano ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Thiago Pliego was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-4. In the 64th minute Alonzo Lazcano shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Thiago Pliego saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. BEIJO CARNAVAL's Saverio Belasko was substituted for Adam Jönsson. BEIJO CARNAVAL's Rigoberto Olayo was substituted for Romulo Arias. In the 81st minute Orlando Casaus shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Godfredo Abarca saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some careless play in the BEIJO CARNAVAL defense, Mariano Lacasa kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Godfredo Abarca. The BEIJO CARNAVAL fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Godfredo Abarca should have stopped the shot. Chile's Thiago Pliego proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 88th minute of the match, managed to save Chile from getting a goal against them. Tomás Lleir charged in rather forcefully in the 93rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Tomás Lleir the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 93 played minutes BEIJO CARNAVAL got a freekick which was hit by Tomás Lleir. Francisco Carballar's late challenge caught a BEIJO CARNAVAL's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Francisco Carballar helped the player get up and apologised. After 95 played minutes Chile got a freekick which was hit by Francisco Carballar. When Aristides Lehior came up free with the goalie in the 96th minute, the BEIJO CARNAVAL fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Aristides Lehior couldn't finish the play. The BEIJO CARNAVAL players were the happier at the end of the match as they had prevented Chile from taking control. The game ends in a draw.
