An unexpectedly hard shot by Lauro Moreira in the 9th minute of play forced Colombia's goalkeeper Pedro Manzanares to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Colombia's defense didn't have a chance, in the 11th minute, when Lauro Moreira scored to the left of an out of position Pedro Manzanares, making the score, 1-0. In the 15th minute, Antonio Indiano hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 18 minutes into the game, Santino Seco was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Colombia's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Club Atletico Chusca the free kick. A collision led to Colombia getting a freekick after 18 minutes play. Santino Seco hit a great ball. In the 20th minute Lauro Moreira shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pedro Manzanares saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Baldomero Montae came free with the goalkeeper in the 27th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Pedro Manzanares could save by the left post. Club Atletico Chusca's Serafin Eate played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Axel Montenegro in the 28th minute of play. The supporters of Club Atletico Chusca booed when Colombia was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 31 match minutes in a wonderful position. Santino Seco didn't get a good kick on the ball. Baldomero Montae fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pedro Manzanares having to interfere. Joshua Garrido sent away a hard shot on goal in the 35th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Pedro Manzanares showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Aristides Santo, who was totally free with the ball in the 38th minute. The supporters of Club Atletico Chusca booed when Colombia was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 43 match minutes in a wonderful position. Antonio Indiano didn't get a good kick on the ball. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

51 minutes into the match, Club Atletico Chusca's goal looked a bit too open when Abram Sarmiento came free, but Serafin Eate reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Axel Montenegros short, quick shot in the 55thth minute got Serafin Eate to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Pedro Manzanares showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Aristides Santo in the 56th minute of the match. In the 57th minute Club Atletico Chusca were awarded a corner. Herman Arvidsson went to the cornerflag to take it. Club Atletico Chusca's Herman Arvidsson was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Pedro Manzanares in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Colombia's Pedro Manzanares played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lauro Moreira in the 64th minute of play. Through an outstanding action, after 73 minutes, Serafin Eate successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. 79 minutes into the match, Club Atletico Chusca's goal looked a bit too open when Abram Sarmiento came free, but Serafin Eate reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Pedro Manzanares showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Richie Craig in the 84th minute of the match. In the 89th minute of the match, Abram Sarmiento tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Serafin Eate saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. After a rather tough play, Colombia's Orlando Tafalla got a free kick in the 90th minute. Colombia's Abram Secada was substituted for Axel Montenegro. In the 92nd match minute, Colombia was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Orlando Tafalla to maneuver through the defense. The Colombia fans' excitement grew in the 94th match minute when Colombia's Ignacio Mastache looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
