When the match clock showed 6 minutes, the score became 0-2 when Luis Andino sped through Miau Stars's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Agnaldo Sá. Felix Montenegro blasted a shot towards the goal in the 11th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Agnaldo Sá having to make a save. After 12 minutes, Felix Montenegro made it 0-3 with a short kick to the right side. Miau Stars's Agnaldo Sá tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. 16 minutes into the game, Cristian Sancho cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-4. Agnaldo Sá was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 18th minute Daniel Zorita shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Agnaldo Sá saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Ecuador's Cristian Sancho in the 20th minute got a chance for a shot 20th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Miau Stars's Agnaldo Sá played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Daniel Zorita in the 26th minute of play. Agnaldo Sá showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Agustín Saelices, who was totally free with the ball in the 28th minute. Camilo Gisbert made in the 30th minute of the game a quick throw-in and Luis Andino immediately put the ball in play. Miau Stars's Agnaldo Sá played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cristian Sancho in the 31st minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Cristian Sancho in the 33rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Agnaldo Sá saved Miau Stars from getting behind. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cristian Sancho in the 38th minute of play forced Miau Stars's goalkeeper Agnaldo Sá to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 39th minute, Agustín Saelices left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Ecuador fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-7. 42 minutes into the match, Cristian Sancho had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Agnaldo Sá. Miau Stars's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Cristian Sancho was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-8. Agnaldo Sá stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Cristian Sancho's shot from short distance in the 45th minute. Daniel Zorita struck a weak shot in the 47th minute. Agnaldo Sá didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ecuador. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-8 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The wind increased when Daniel Zorita made the kick off in the second half. If Cristian Sancho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Cristian Sancho struck a weak shot in the 53rd minute. Agnaldo Sá didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. Ecuador's supporters crossed their fingers, but Juan Sebastián Puig was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. With a little luck, Miau Stars's Agnaldo Sá got control of the ball when Agustín Saelices tried to sneak it across the goal line. Felix Montes succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 0-9 in the 61st playminute. In the 65th minute Cristian Sancho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Agnaldo Sá saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 66th minute, Daniel Zorita left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Ecuador fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-10. Agnaldo Sá came out of the goal in the 70th minute to try and stop a shot by Ecuador's Cristian Sancho. But to his dismay, Cristian Sancho quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-11. Daniel Zorita who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 73rdth minute tested the skills of Agnaldo Sá when he managed to save the team from getting behind. 75 minutes in the game Juan Sebastián Puig did a throw-in, and the ball was quickly in game thanks to Daniel Zorita. 76 minutes into the game, Daniel Zorita cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-12. Agnaldo Sá was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The audience thought a goal was coming when Cristian Sancho got free with Agnaldo Sá in the 80th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Agnaldo Sá made a fantastic save in the 81st minute, when Daniel Zorita sent off a good shot on target. With a little luck, Miau Stars's Agnaldo Sá got control of the ball when Agustín Saelices tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 84th minute, Daniel Zorita made a precise shot to the right of Agnaldo Sá. Miau Stars's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-13. After some careless play in the Miau Stars defense, Cristian Sancho kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Agnaldo Sá. The Miau Stars fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Agnaldo Sá should have stopped the shot. Agnaldo Sá didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Luis Andino went, in the 94th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-15 was the resulting score. When the match was over Ecuador could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Miau Stars throughout the match.
