Julio Vera stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Arnaldo Basajaun's shot from short distance in the 13th minute. 16 minutes into the match, CAMPINAS FUTEBOL CLUBE's goal looked a bit too open when Cristian Sancho came free, but Mariusz Komornicki reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ecuador's defense didn't have a chance, in the 17th minute, when Arnaldo Basajaun scored to the left of an out of position Julio Vera, making the score, 1-0. 20 minutes into the match, Daniel Zorita notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of CAMPINAS FUTEBOL CLUBE's Mariusz Komornicki. Mariusz Komornicki was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. CAMPINAS FUTEBOL CLUBE's Mariusz Komornicki played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Felix Montenegro in the 27th minute of play. After some careless play in the Ecuador defense, Arnaldo Basajaun kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Julio Vera. The Ecuador fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Julio Vera should have stopped the shot. 31 minutes into the match, Daniel Zorita had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Mariusz Komornicki. CAMPINAS FUTEBOL CLUBE's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Daniel Zorita was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-3. Arnaldo Basajaun received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Julio Vera came out and tried to block the shot, but Arnaldo Basajaun slotted it home off the left post making it 3-3 in the 43rd minute. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 3-3 after a close first half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Arnaldo Basajaun made a kick off. 51 minutes into the game, Primitivo Andino threw the ball into play from the sideline. CAMPINAS FUTEBOL CLUBE's Winnie Winger quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. With a little luck, CAMPINAS FUTEBOL CLUBE's Mariusz Komornicki got control of the ball when Daniel Zorita tried to sneak it across the goal line. After 58 minutes, Rodrigo Trigo mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the CAMPINAS FUTEBOL CLUBE and the Ecuador players grew even worse after the yellow card. Rodrigo Trigo kicked well hit freekick during the 58th minute of the match. After 59 played minutes CAMPINAS FUTEBOL CLUBE got a freekick which was hit by Rodrigo Trigo. The CAMPINAS FUTEBOL CLUBE fans' excitement grew in the 64th match minute when CAMPINAS FUTEBOL CLUBE's Arnaldo Basajaun looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 4-3 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Julio Vera showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Arnaldo Basajaun in the 69th minute of the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Arnaldo Basajaun in the 71st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Julio Vera prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 72 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goal looked a bit too open when Arnaldo Basajaun came free, but Julio Vera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Arnaldo Basajaun took the ball and in the 72 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Julio Vera. Julio Vera dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 5-3. 76 minutes into the match, CAMPINAS FUTEBOL CLUBE's goal looked a bit too open when Luis Andino came free, but Mariusz Komornicki reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Daniel Zorita came free with the goalkeeper in the 77th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Mariusz Komornicki could save by the left post. Daniel Zorita could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 79th minute of the match, but Mariusz Komornicki made a huge save. After 83 minutes of play, CAMPINAS FUTEBOL CLUBE's Arnaldo Basajaun made it 6-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Julio Vera was left in no man's land by his defense there! CAMPINAS FUTEBOL CLUBE's Jorge-Luis Valdivia was substituted for Armağan Yörük. CAMPINAS FUTEBOL CLUBE made a substitution. Vivaldo de Toledo replaced Arnaldo Basajaun. In the 89th minute Vivaldo de Toledo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julio Vera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Vivaldo de Toledo in the 91st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Julio Vera saved Ecuador from getting behind. The audience was convinced that Vivaldo de Toledo's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Julio Vera was relentless in the 92nd minute of the game. After 92 minutes of play, CAMPINAS FUTEBOL CLUBE's Vivaldo de Toledo made it 7-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Julio Vera was left in no man's land by his defense there! When the referee blew the final whistle, CAMPINAS FUTEBOL CLUBE could leave the field as winners, despite Ecuador having more of the ball for most of the match.
