When Sören Vennerkvist fell near the penalty area in the 6th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Lizabona Futebol Clube's protests and gave Sören Vennerkvist a yellow card for diving instead. Sören Vennerkvist hit a great freekick 6 minutes into the match. 7 minutes into the match, Lizabona Futebol Clube's goal looked a bit too open when Daniel Zorita came free, but Nelsinho Neiva reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 9th minute Humberto Passos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julio Vera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ecuador's Julio Vera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Humberto Passos in the 9th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 10th minute, Cristian Sancho managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ecuador's supporters rose to their feet, but Cristian Sancho was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Nelsinho Neiva breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 12 minutes into the match, Lizabona Futebol Clube's goal looked a bit too open when Cristian Sancho came free, but Nelsinho Neiva reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Daniel Zorita received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 13th minute. Nelsinho Neiva tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ecuador's supporters crossed their fingers, but Daniel Zorita was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 24th minute, Felix Montenegro left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Ecuador fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. In the 29th minute Luis Andino shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nelsinho Neiva saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Luis Andino fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nelsinho Neiva having to interfere. The Lizabona Futebol Clube players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Ecuador were winning 1-2.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Daniel Zorita to make the kick off. Cristian Sancho received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 55th minute. Nelsinho Neiva tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Nelsinho Neiva showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Daniel Zorita in the 57th minute of the match. Lizabona Futebol Clube's Nelsinho Neiva proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 73rd minute of the match, managed to save Lizabona Futebol Clube from getting a goal against them. When the match clock showed 74 minutes, the score became 1-4 when Daniel Zorita sped through Lizabona Futebol Clube's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Nelsinho Neiva. Luis Andino struck a weak shot in the 80th minute. Nelsinho Neiva didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ecuador. Julio Vera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from 霍去病 Wu in the 82nd minute of play. In the 84th minute, Luis Andino fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. When Ecuador's Luis Andino in the 85th minute got a chance for a shot 85th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Lizabona Futebol Clube's goalie prevented a goal. In the 90th minute Pitt Silvi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julio Vera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ecuador's Daniel Zorita got a good chance for a goal in the 92nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Nelsinho Neiva made an important save on a dangerous shot by Cristian Sancho in the 93rd minute. When the final whistle sounded Ecuador left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Lizabona Futebol Clube.
