Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Joel Gaona started the match with the kick off. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Joel Gaona in the 4th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Régis de Queirós saved Palmeiras from getting behind. With a little luck, Mexico's Dante Lacasa got control of the ball when Iustin Bungeanu tried to sneak it across the goal line. Joel Gaona recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 12th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. A collision led to Palmeiras getting a freekick after 14 minutes play. Luke Clist hit a great ball. Régis de Queirós showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Luca Zorita in the 16th minute of the match. Régis de Queirós didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Alberto Tafalla went, in the 20th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. In the 28th minute, Alberto Tafalla got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 29 minutes into the match, Mexico's goal looked a bit too open when Luke Clist came free, but Dante Lacasa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Tarcisio Reis hit a great freekick 30 minutes into the match. Luca Rouco hit a great freekick 31 minutes into the match. Luca Zorita's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Régis de Queirós read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 35th minute of play. In the 37th minute, Luke Clist hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 41 minutes, Luke Clist mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Palmeiras and the Mexico players grew even worse after the yellow card. Luke Clist hit a great freekick 41 minutes into the match. In the 43rd minute, Lautaro Mancebo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Through an outstanding action, after 45 minutes, Dante Lacasa successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. The wind increased when Luke Clist made the kick off in the second half. With an all-out effort, Mexico's Régis de Queirós threw himself towards the right post 52 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Joel Gaona, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. In the 57th play minute Luca Zorita came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Régis de Queirós. 0-2. 60 minutes into the match, Mexico's goal looked a bit too open when Kléberson Neiva came free, but Dante Lacasa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Palmeiras's Régis de Queirós proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 63rd minute of the match, managed to save Palmeiras from getting a goal against them. The audience thought a goal was coming when Lautaro Mancebo got free with Régis de Queirós in the 68th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Dante Lacasa didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Luke Clist went, in the 69th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-2 was the resulting score. Régis de Queirós made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alberto Tafalla in the 73rd minute of play. 77 minutes into the match, Mexico's goal looked a bit too open when Luke Clist came free, but Dante Lacasa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 83 minutes into the game, José Carlos Simões cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-2. Dante Lacasa was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 86th minute, Tarcisio Reis hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Dante Lacasa came out of the goal in the 92nd minute to try and stop a shot by Palmeiras's Leonardo Donato. But to his dismay, Leonardo Donato quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-3. Alberto Tafalla's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Régis de Queirós read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 95th minute of play. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
