The Catugi FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Reko Nybacka should have stopped the shot. The audience thought a goal was coming when Carlos Alberto Soares got free with Tiaguinho Correia in the 23rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Catugi FC's Reko Nybacka played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Róbson Couto in the 30th minute of play. Fulgencio Rius hit a great freekick 34 minutes into the match. Trindade Atlético Club's 于竞思 quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Vicente Valladares, made in the 38th minute of the game. Róbson Couto struck a weak shot in the 39th minute. Reko Nybacka didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Trindade Atlético Club. The supporters of Catugi FC booed when Trindade Atlético Club was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 43 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fulgencio Rius didn't get a good kick on the ball. Reko Nybacka came out of the goal in the 47th minute to try and stop a shot by Trindade Atlético Club's Róbson Couto. But to his dismay, Róbson Couto quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Carlos Alberto Soares to make the kick off. The throw-in from Edson Couto in the 60th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Trindade Atlético Club's 于竞思. Róbson Couto recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 60th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Róbson Couto in the 62nd minute of play forced Catugi FC's goalkeeper Reko Nybacka to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 77 minutes into the match, Trindade Atlético Club's goal looked a bit too open when Carlos Alberto Soares came free, but Tiaguinho Correia reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to Catugi FC getting a freekick after 78 minutes play. Vicente Valladares hit a great ball. In the 80th minute the ball was on its way in behind Catugi FC's goalkeeper Reko Nybacka, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Dagoberto Dracena scored 0-3 in the 88th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Reko Nybacka, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After having played for 92 minutes, Dagoberto Dracena managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Trindade Atlético Club's supporters crossed their fingers, but Dagoberto Dracena was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 96 minutes into the match, Trindade Atlético Club's Dagoberto Dracena sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Reko Nybacka narrowly saved just below the crossbar.
