With an extended leg and a bit of luck Falcão Sampaio prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Erasmo Simão to make the kick off. 53 minutes into the match, Grentino FC's goalkeeper Falcão Sampaio had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Alberto Spencer. A collision led to Grentino FC getting a freekick after 54 minutes play. Gualter Sampaio hit a great ball.
