Girondins4Ever's Zygmunt Bochinski played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cyrille Melon in the 5th minute of play. Mihail Toader could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 6th minute of the match, but Zygmunt Bochinski made a huge save. 16 minutes into the match, R.C. Marseille's goal looked a bit too open when Nicky Larson came free, but Didier Lafargue reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Didier Lafargue showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nichifor Nimass, who was totally free with the ball in the 17th minute. After 20 played minutes R.C. Marseille got a freekick which was hit by Régis Saison. Didier Lafargue showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nichifor Nimass in the 22nd minute of the match. The corner ended in Cyrille Melon almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Girondins4Ever's Zygmunt Bochinski did a great save. Gaétan Rémetter hit a great freekick 25 minutes into the match. Zygmunt Bochinski made a fantastic save in the 30th minute, when Cyrille Melon sent off a good shot on target. R.C. After 35 played minutes Girondins4Ever got a freekick which was hit by Kerem Titiz. Didier Lafargue made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Duarte Neiva in the 43rd minute of play. After 44 played minutes Girondins4Ever got a freekick which was hit by Gaétan Rémetter. Mihail Toader could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 45th minute of the match, but Zygmunt Bochinski made a huge save.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Cyrille Melon made a kick off. With a little luck, R.C. Marseille's Didier Lafargue got control of the ball when Nichifor Nimass tried to sneak it across the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cyrille Melon in the 53rd minute of play forced Girondins4Ever's goalkeeper Zygmunt Bochinski to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Nichifor Nimass's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Didier Lafargue firmly grabbed it by the left post. Nichifor Nimass could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 55th minute of the match, but Didier Lafargue made a huge save. Didier Lafargue made a fantastic save in the 63rd minute, when Nichifor Nimass sent off a good shot on target. Zygmunt Bochinski took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cyrille Melon, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to R.C. Marseille getting a freekick after 71 minutes play. Joe Plantin hit a great ball. R.C. Marseille made a substitution. Djibril Mourot replaced Mihail Toader. John-Paul Marquant's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Didier Lafargue read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 84th minute of play. Jordan Moalic hit a great freekick 86 minutes into the match. John-Paul Marquant blasted a shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Didier Lafargue having to make a save. Didier Lafargue made a fantastic save in the 88th minute, when John-Paul Marquant sent off a good shot on target. John-Paul Marquant might have been able to make a better finish in the 92nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Didier Lafargue. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. John-Paul Marquant ran back to his position shaking his head. Didier Lafargue made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from John-Paul Marquant in the 92nd minute of play. When Girondins4Ever's John-Paul Marquant in the 96th minute got a chance for a shot 96th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye R.C. Marseille's goalie prevented a goal. The Girondins4Ever supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Girondins4Ever would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
