The corner was taken by Milan Froněk in the 12th minute. 15 minutes into the match, LA RABIA DEL PUEBLO's Noureddine Sanchis sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Didier Lafargue narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 16 minutes had been played when some careless play by R.C. Marseille's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Milan Froněk was slow to take the kick. During this time LA RABIA DEL PUEBLO's players had a chance to rest. After taking down the ball on LA RABIA DEL PUEBLO's corner Milan Froněk fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Didier Lafargue quite easily take care of the ball. Jean-Marc Buisson made in the 17th minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Cyprien Auguste. Didier Lafargue stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Noureddine Sanchis's shot from short distance in the 18th minute. Renan Bouzat kicked well hit freekick during the 19th minute of the match. The long shot by Paulinho Nóbrega in the 19th minute really tested Didier Lafargue's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Renan Bouzat in the 22nd minute of play forced LA RABIA DEL PUEBLO's goalkeeper Chucky Norris to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Didier Lafargue made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Noureddine Sanchis in the 23rd minute of play. Didier Lafargue took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Noureddine Sanchis, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mihail Toader in the 26th minute of play forced LA RABIA DEL PUEBLO's goalkeeper Chucky Norris to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Chucky Norris showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mihail Toader in the 26th minute of the match. In the 29th minute, Hong Sha Sang hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a rather tough play, R.C. Marseille's Jean-Marc Buisson got a free kick in the 31st minute. Marseille's goal looked a bit too open when Noureddine Sanchis came free, but Didier Lafargue reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After having played for 44 minutes, Renan Bouzat managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. R.C. Marseille's supporters crossed their fingers, but Renan Bouzat was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Didier Lafargue showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Pascal Laadal in the 47th minute of the match. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Noureddine Sanchis made a kick off. Chucky Norris made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Renan Bouzat in the 53rd minute of play. If Noureddine Sanchis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 58th minute, Clovis Hénot hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. LA RABIA DEL PUEBLO's Chucky Norris proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 60th minute of the match, managed to save LA RABIA DEL PUEBLO from getting a goal against them. In the 61st minute of the match R.C. Marseille got a corner. LA RABIA DEL PUEBLO's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Renan Bouzat ran over to the corner to take the kick. R.C. Marseille's Renan Bouzat was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Chucky Norris in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Didier Lafargue made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Noureddine Sanchis in the 63rd minute of play. Noureddine Sanchis's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Didier Lafargue read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 65th minute of play. When the match clock showed 69 minutes, the score became 2-0 when Noureddine Sanchis sped through R.C. Marseille's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Didier Lafargue. R.C. Marseille's Djibril Mourot was substituted for Mihail Toader. R.C. Marseille's Didier Lafargue played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Noureddine Sanchis in the 78th minute of play. After a rather tough play, LA RABIA DEL PUEBLO's Hüseyin Eroğlu got a free kick in the 83rd minute. LA RABIA DEL PUEBLO's Herbert Carette was substituted for Hüseyin Eroğlu. Hüseyin Eroğlu hit a great freekick 84 minutes into the match. LA RABIA DEL PUEBLO made a substitution. Mala La Motte replaced Milan Froněk. Noureddine Sanchis sent away a hard shot on goal in the 93rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. R.C. Marseille's supporters were dissatisfied at the end of the match because LA RABIA DEL PUEBLO had won, even though R.C. Marseille had held more of the ball.
