When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Cyrille Melon made a kick off. When Nichifor Nimass came up free with the goalie in the 53rd minute, the Girondins4Ever fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Nichifor Nimass couldn't finish the play. 56 minutes into the match, Girondins4Ever's Nichifor Nimass sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Didier Lafargue narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Cyrille Melon who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 78thth minute tested the skills of Zygmunt Bochinski when he managed to save the team from getting behind. After a rather tough play, Girondins4Ever's John-Paul Marquant got a free kick in the 83rd minute. Duarte Neiva received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 94th minute. Didier Lafargue tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. R.C. Marseille played a much better game than Girondins4Ever and deserved their victory. The Girondins4Ever players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
