Renan Bouzat ran over to the corner to take the kick. Francis Delfín thought of kicking away a contribution in front of goal but messed it up so badly that the ball went to the right of an astonished Bruno Nunes, a very annoying self made goal in the 15th minute which led to 0-1. R.C. Marseille's Didier Lafargue proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 18th minute of the match, managed to save R.C. Marseille from getting a goal against them. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cyrille Melon in the 24th minute of play forced Cyber Attack's goalkeeper Bruno Nunes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 25 minutes into the game, Cyrille Melon cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Bruno Nunes was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 28th minute the ball was on its way in behind Cyber Attack's goalkeeper Bruno Nunes, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Didier Lafargue showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ivan Käcker in the 30th minute of the match. In the 33rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Cyber Attack's goalkeeper Bruno Nunes, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. When Victorino Vachon fell near the penalty area in the 36th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Cyber Attack's protests and gave Victorino Vachon a yellow card for diving instead. Victorino Vachon kicked well hit freekick during the 36th minute of the match. Bruno Nunes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mihail Toader, who was totally free with the ball in the 39th minute. Marseille were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Cyrille Melon stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. A collision led to R.C. Marseille's goal looked a bit too open when Ivan Käcker came free, but Didier Lafargue reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 55th minute, Ivan Käcker made a precise shot to the right of Didier Lafargue. R.C. Marseille's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-2. If Ivan Käcker had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. R.C. Marseille's Didier Lafargue played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ivan Käcker in the 59th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ivan Käcker in the 63rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Didier Lafargue saved R.C. Marseille from getting behind. Bruno Nunes made a fantastic save in the 65th minute, when Cyrille Melon sent off a good shot on target. 65 minutes into the match, Cyber Attack's goalkeeper Bruno Nunes had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Cyrille Melon. Bruno Nunes made an important save on a dangerous shot by Cyrille Melon in the 65th minute. Mihail Toader came free with the goalkeeper in the 66th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Bruno Nunes could save by the left post. Bruno Nunes made a fantastic save in the 69th minute, when Mihail Toader sent off a good shot on target. R.C. Marseille made a substitution. Djibril Mourot replaced Mihail Toader. In the 72nd minute R.C. Marseille were awarded a corner. Renan Bouzat went to the cornerflag to take it. Didier Lafargue showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ivan Käcker in the 77th minute of the match. The audience was convinced that Ivan Käcker's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Didier Lafargue was relentless in the 79th minute of the game. Mamadou Mouraud's late challenge caught a R.C. Marseille's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. The Cyber Attack players were eager to celebrate when the final whistle sounded. They had somehow managed to win, even though the away team had held the majority of the possession.
