Cristian Sancho struck a weak shot in the 2nd minute. Guilherme Alagoano didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ecuador. Guilherme Alagoano stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Felix Montenegro's shot from short distance in the 5th minute. Cristian Sancho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 8th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Guilherme Alagoano having to interfere. Cristian Sancho received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 10th minute. Guilherme Alagoano tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Franco Iranzo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 13th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Julio Vera having to interfere. If Xalbador Navas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 25 minutes into the match, Ecuador's Luis Andino sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Guilherme Alagoano narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Guilherme Alagoano showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cristian Sancho, who was totally free with the ball in the 29th minute. After a defensive mix-up in FC PROSPE's zone, Daniel Zorita stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Guilherme Alagoano came out of the goal and Daniel Zorita tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Daniel Zorita received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 41st minute. Guilherme Alagoano tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 44th minute, Xalbador Navas fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. Guilherme Alagoano made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Daniel Zorita in the 46th minute of play. Ignacio Cabrera hit a great freekick 47 minutes into the match. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Daniel Zorita stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sanea Weerarak in the 51st minute of play forced Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Agustín Saelices received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 53rd minute. Guilherme Alagoano tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Julio Pabla's late challenge caught a Ecuador's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Julio Pabla helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Ecuador booed when FC PROSPE was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 55 match minutes in a wonderful position. Daniel Zorita shot from long distance in the 67th minute, but Guilherme Alagoano was prepared and stopped the ball at the left post. 69 minutes into the match, FC PROSPE's goalkeeper Guilherme Alagoano had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Daniel Zorita. Xalbador Navas's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Julio Vera read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 76th minute of play. In the 78th minute Franco Iranzo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julio Vera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Julio Vera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Franco Iranzo in the 79th minute of play. Guilherme Alagoano made an important save on a dangerous shot by Daniel Zorita in the 80th minute. 80 minutes into the match, Daniel Zorita dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Guilherme Alagoano, 0-1. Julio Vera showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ignacio Cabrera, who was totally free with the ball in the 85th minute. 86 minutes had been played when some careless play by Ecuador's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Ivan Lehečka was slow to take the kick. During this time FC PROSPE's players had a chance to rest. FC PROSPE's Ivan Lehečka was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Julio Vera in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. After a rather tough play, FC PROSPE's Franco Iranzo got a free kick in the 88th minute. 92 minutes into the match, FC PROSPE's goalkeeper Guilherme Alagoano had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Cristian Sancho.
