Prospero Muc made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. In the 10th minute, Daniel Zorita made a precise shot to the right of Prospero Muc. Maravilla's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-3. Prospero Muc didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Felix Montenegro went, in the 14th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-4 was the resulting score. In the 17th minute, Luis Andino made a precise shot to the right of Prospero Muc. Maravilla's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-5. Prospero Muc showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Daniel Zorita, who was totally free with the ball in the 20th minute. 20 minutes into the game, Daniel Zorita cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-6. Prospero Muc was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cristian Sancho in the 36th minute of play forced Maravilla's goalkeeper Prospero Muc to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Prospero Muc didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Cristian Sancho went, in the 38th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-9 was the resulting score. After some careless play in the Maravilla defense, Daniel Zorita kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Prospero Muc. The Maravilla fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Prospero Muc should have stopped the shot. In the 46th minute, Cristian Sancho made a precise shot to the right of Prospero Muc. Maravilla's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-11. After the first half Ecuador were leading 0-11. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Daniel Zorita stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Luis Andino scored 0-12 in the 54th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Prospero Muc, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. When Cristian Sancho came up free with the goalie in the 58th minute, the Ecuador fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Cristian Sancho couldn't finish the play. When Nemesio Damario fell near the penalty area in the 58th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Maravilla's protests and gave Nemesio Damario a yellow card for diving instead. After 59 played minutes Maravilla got a freekick which was hit by Nemesio Damario. If Daniel Zorita had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 61st match minute, Maravilla was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nemesio Damario to maneuver through the defense. After having played for 63 minutes, Daniel Zorita managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ecuador's supporters crossed their fingers, but Daniel Zorita was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Cristian Sancho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Prospero Muc having to interfere. Cristian Sancho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 67th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The audience thought a goal was coming when Agustín Saelices got free with Prospero Muc in the 68th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. If Luis Andino had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 72nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 75 minutes, Cristian Sancho managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ecuador's supporters crossed their fingers, but Cristian Sancho was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. It was joyful for the audience to see Daniel Zorita dribbling past the opponents defense line in the 83rd played minute and put the ball into the net. 0-13. In the 88th minute, Cristian Sancho reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Prospero Muc. The goal made the score 0-14. Prospero Muc didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 91st minute, which inside left pole to 0-15. Luis Andino scored 0-16 in the 95th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Prospero Muc, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The Maravilla fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Ecuador were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
