Spectators: 51 (Terracing: 39, Seating: 11, VIP seats: 1) Agustin Barrantes started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. Mexico's Joel Gaona got a good chance for a goal in the 2nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Lautaro Mancebo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 8th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The crowd rose to their feet as Miguel Volio kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Dante Lacasa. That made the score 1-0 in the 16 minute of play. Ernesto Monge didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Facundo Cadaval went, in the 24th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. Ernesto Monge showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lautaro Mancebo in the 28th minute of the match. Joel Gaona sent away a hard shot on goal in the 32nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. CS La Libertad's Ernesto Monge played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Joel Gaona in the 35th minute of play. After 45 minutes, Lorenzo Cazalla mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Mexico and the CS La Libertad players grew even worse after the yellow card. After some fancy dribbling in the 48th minute, Alberto Tafalla managed to get in a good position for a shot. Mexico's supporters rose to their feet, but Alberto Tafalla was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ernesto Monge breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Joel Gaona to strike the kick off in the second half. Dante Lacasa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gerardo Millot in the 69th minute of play. The supporters of Mexico booed when CS La Libertad was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 70 match minutes in a wonderful position. Reynaldo Esquivel didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 72nd minute of the match, Alberto Tafalla tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Ernesto Monge saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Dante Lacasa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rodrigo Lobo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 77 minutes into the match, Mexico's Facundo Cadaval sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Ernesto Monge narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Mexico's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Joel Gaona in the 78th minute. A nice corner shot did that Joel Gaona got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Ernesto Monge quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rodrigo Lobo in the 81st minute of play forced Mexico's goalkeeper Dante Lacasa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Mexico's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Joel Gaona in the 86th minute. The corner led to Mexico's Facundo Cadaval getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. After a rather tough play, Mexico's Lorenzo Cazalla got a free kick in the 95th minute. Many of Mexico's supporters were seen to leave the ground early as it became clear their team was going to lose. Mexico may have spent more time on the ball, but CS La Libertad were more willing to take their chances and they walked away with the win.
