Honduras's supporters rose to their feet, but Moises Tafalla was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Luís das Neves breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The supporters of Honduras booed when Caballo Loco was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 82 match minutes in a wonderful position. Leon Oriol didn't get a good kick on the ball. Luís das Neves showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Edmundo Espiga in the 88th minute of the match. 90 minutes into the match, Caballo Loco's goal looked a bit too open when Edmundo Espiga came free, but Luís das Neves reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Edmundo Espiga struck a weak shot in the 92nd minute. Luís das Neves didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Honduras.
