Spectators: 44 (Terracing: 34, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) After 3 minutes, Raymond Louis mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Haiti and the Fotbal Club Vaslui players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 3rd match minute, Haiti was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Raymond Louis to maneuver through the defense. Noel Seide was a little too slow when Bamidele Monday Vennegoor Of Hesselink got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 6th minute. The score was now 1-0. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jonathan Alphonse in the 19th minute of play forced Fotbal Club Vaslui's goalkeeper Marcel Bântu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Gesner Philippe fell near the penalty area in the 21st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Haiti's protests and gave Gesner Philippe a yellow card for diving instead. Noel Seide was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Panait Ogășanu made in the 35th minute of the game a quick throw-in and Emilian Todoran immediately put the ball in play. In the 40th minute, Jonathan Alphonse made a precise shot to the right of Marcel Bântu. Fotbal Club Vaslui's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-1. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Emilian Todoran was the one to do the kick off.
