Jamaica's Demonde Jacobson proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 5th minute of the match, managed to save Jamaica from getting a goal against them. Romon Oliver's late challenge caught a Fotbal Club Vaslui's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Romon Oliver helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Jamaica getting a freekick after 5 minutes play. Romon Oliver hit a great ball. Marcel Bântu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jarell Hill in the 10th minute of the match. In the 15th minute, Finlay Stair made a precise shot to the right of Marcel Bântu. Fotbal Club Vaslui's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. In the 24th minute, Jamaall Padmore hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

In the 51st minute, Geroy Ascue hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Demonde Jacobson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mugurel Răduț in the 52nd minute of play. Karlus Waugh might have been able to make a better finish in the 56th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Marcel Bântu. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Karlus Waugh ran back to his position shaking his head. If Finlay Stair had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jarell Hill struck a weak shot in the 60th minute. Marcel Bântu didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Jamaica. In the 63rd minute, Leron Sale got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal.
