After 2 played minutes Peru got a freekick which was hit by Eliseo Mina. 3 minutes into the match, Peru's goal looked a bit too open when Ilgaz Şirvan came free, but Rolando Noboa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Rolando Noboa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ilgaz Şirvan in the 6th minute of play. Julian Murillo received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Abel Bueno came out and tried to block the shot, but Julian Murillo slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 9th minute. Dominik Oryl got a throw-in 12 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Quinton Marcheterre. 18 minutes into the match, Peru's goal looked a bit too open when Wilber Leon came free, but Rolando Noboa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Miki Jungslund in the 21st minute of play forced Peru's goalkeeper Rolando Noboa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Rolando Noboa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Caio da Rocha, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Abel Bueno made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Julian Murillo in the 25th minute of play. Qikiqtarjuaq FC's Dominik Oryl quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Moises Gayoso, made in the 33rd minute of the game. An unexpectedly hard shot by Caio da Rocha in the 35th minute of play forced Peru's goalkeeper Rolando Noboa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Rolando Noboa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Caio da Rocha in the 35th minute of the match. Dominik Oryl hit a great freekick 37 minutes into the match. Qikiqtarjuaq FC made a substitution. Daron Keen replaced Wilber Leon. In the 41st minute the ball was on its way in behind Qikiqtarjuaq FC's goalkeeper Abel Bueno, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Luz Tejedor fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Abel Bueno having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 44th minute, Julian Murillo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Peru's supporters rose to their feet, but Julian Murillo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Abel Bueno breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 46th match minute, Peru was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alonso Berganza to maneuver through the defense. In the 47th minute, Caio da Rocha ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Rolando Noboa was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Julian Murillo made a kick off. Peru's Alonso Berganza quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Alfonzo Davidson, made in the 52nd minute of the game. Julian Murillo might have been able to make a better finish in the 64th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Abel Bueno. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Julian Murillo ran back to his position shaking his head. Qikiqtarjuaq FC's Abel Bueno played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Julian Murillo in the 64th minute of play. In the 70th minute Julian Murillo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Abel Bueno saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Abel Bueno took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Luz Tejedor, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Qikiqtarjuaq FC's Abel Bueno played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luz Tejedor in the 75th minute of play. Qikiqtarjuaq FC made a substitution. Bastien Aldridge replaced Gary Thomason. Abel Bueno showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Julian Murillo, who was totally free with the ball in the 82nd minute. In the 83rd minute, Alfonzo Davidson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Peru's Antonio Tenorio was substituted for Luz Tejedor. Peru's Rafael Gallo was substituted for Julian Murillo. Peru's Eliseo Alcocer was substituted for Moises Gayoso. Alfonzo Davidson kicked well hit freekick during the 85th minute of the match. With a little luck, Peru's Rolando Noboa got control of the ball when Caio da Rocha tried to sneak it across the goal line. Eliseo Mina sent away a hard shot on goal in the 91st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Qikiqtarjuaq FC made a substitution. Joshua Keys replaced Ilgaz Şirvan. Abel Bueno came out of the goal in the 96th minute to try and stop a shot by Peru's Rafael Gallo. But to his dismay, Rafael Gallo quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. Qikiqtarjuaq FC's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
