Agustín Saelices struck a weak shot in the 47th minute. Yuan Ying didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ecuador. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-2 lead.

In the 55th minute, Cristian Sancho got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 孔城森 hit a great freekick 64 minutes into the match. After a defensive mix-up in Reis HSD Paredes's zone, Daniel Zorita stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Julio Vera showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gervasio Ramos in the 69th minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Daniel Zorita got free with Yuan Ying in the 72nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The supporters of Ecuador booed when Reis HSD Paredes was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 76 match minutes in a wonderful position. Marcelo Brito didn't get a good kick on the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Gervasio Ramos in the 78th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Julio Vera prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Julio Vera showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gervasio Ramos, who was totally free with the ball in the 85th minute. Daniel Zorita came free with the goalkeeper in the 86th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Yuan Ying could save by the left post. When the final whistle sounded Ecuador left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Reis HSD Paredes.
