Babür Mertoğlu showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 3-0. After 48 minutes, Guillermo Mariano mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Venezuela and the Modroñes players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Modroñes booed when Venezuela was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 48 match minutes in a wonderful position. Guillermo Mariano didn't get a good kick on the ball.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Tomas Illescas stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. A sloppy throw-in by Fortunato Taviel in the 59th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Venezuela's Patricio Costa. The crowd rose to their feet as Tomas Illescas kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Celso Tavera. That made the score 3-1 in the 60 minute of play. In the 65thth minute of the game Babür Mertoğlu who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Jonathan Ferrant showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Enric Patiño in the 68th minute of the match. In the 71st minute Babür Mertoğlu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jonathan Ferrant saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 75th minute, Babür Mertoğlu made a precise shot to the right of Jonathan Ferrant. Venezuela's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 4-1. Jonathan Ferrant made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Babür Mertoğlu in the 80th minute of play. 82 minutes into the match, Babür Mertoğlu notched a goal, 5-1, to the right of Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant. Jonathan Ferrant was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Babür Mertoğlu in the 87th minute of play. Babür Mertoğlu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jonathan Ferrant having to interfere. Jonathan Ferrant made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Enric Patiño in the 93rd minute of play. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Modroñes had played much better football throughout.
