Ermegildo Errolan kicked well hit freekick during the 36th minute of the match. In the 37th minute the ball was on its way in behind TORQUE F.C.'s goalkeeper Sébastien Frey, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Sébastien Frey took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Julian Murillo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Rolando Noboa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cristian Ieltxu in the 43rd minute of play. Peru's Rolando Noboa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cristian Ieltxu in the 44th minute of play. Marcin Wolniewicz kicked well hit freekick during the 47th minute of the match. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Cristian Ieltxu stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Rolando Noboa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cristian Ieltxu in the 51st minute of play. Sébastien Frey showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Luz Tejedor in the 53rd minute of the match. In the 55th minute, Cristian Ieltxu ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Rolando Noboa was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. Rolando Noboa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cristian Ieltxu, who was totally free with the ball in the 59th minute. In the 62nd minute Julian Murillo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sébastien Frey saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cristian Ieltxu in the 67th minute of play forced Peru's goalkeeper Rolando Noboa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a little luck, TORQUE F.C.'s Sébastien Frey got control of the ball when Julian Murillo tried to sneak it across the goal line. Rolando Noboa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cristian Ieltxu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. TORQUE F.C. made a substitution. Dave Mancinelli replaced Inocencio Lastur. TORQUE F.C.'s Dominik Klawki was substituted for Igor Abancens. 76 minutes into the match, Peru's goal looked a bit too open when Dave Mancinelli came free, but Rolando Noboa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Dave Mancinelli had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Peru's Antonio Tenorio was substituted for Luz Tejedor. When the match had gone on for 85 minutes, Rafael Gallo put it in 1-2 from a short distance just to the right of Sébastien Frey. The audience was convinced that Dave Mancinelli's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Rolando Noboa was relentless in the 89th minute of the game.
