A collision led to Club Almirante Brown getting a freekick after 7 minutes play. Severo Venceslas hit a great ball. Club Almirante Brown's Isidoro Dolfos played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Patricio Costa in the 8th minute of play. Venezuela's Tomas Illescas got a good chance for a goal in the 9th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 12th minute, Wilfredo Segio got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 14th minute, Patricio Costa managed to get in a good position for a shot. Venezuela's supporters rose to their feet, but Patricio Costa was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Isidoro Dolfos breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Wilfredo Segio might have been able to make a better finish in the 18th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Jonathan Ferrant. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Wilfredo Segio ran back to his position shaking his head. Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 20th minute of the match, managed to save Venezuela from getting a goal against them. Patricio Costa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 22nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 25th minute Wilfredo Segio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jonathan Ferrant saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Wilfredo Segio in the 26th minute of play. In the 28th minute Club Almirante Brown were awarded a corner. Fabricio Lorencio went to the cornerflag to take it. Club Almirante Brown's Fabricio Lorencio was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Jonathan Ferrant in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Tomas Illescas hit a great freekick 30 minutes into the match. Guido Bautista came free with the goalkeeper in the 38th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Jonathan Ferrant could save by the left post. The supporters of Club Almirante Brown booed when Venezuela was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 40 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tomas Illescas didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 41st minute, Wilfredo Segio got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Wilfredo Segio in the 44th minute of play. Guido Bautista received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 46th minute. Jonathan Ferrant tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.

Camilo Gaos kicked well hit freekick during the 51st minute of the match. In the 52nd minute Guido Bautista shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jonathan Ferrant saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 53 minutes into the game, Severo Venceslas was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Club Almirante Brown's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Venezuela the free kick. Isidoro Dolfos made an important save on a dangerous shot by Tomas Illescas in the 57th minute. Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Wilfredo Segio in the 58th minute of play. Tomas Illescas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 60th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 64thth minute of the game Aristides Rayman who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After taking down the ball on Club Almirante Brown's corner Fabricio Lorencio fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Jonathan Ferrant quite easily take care of the ball. Jonathan Ferrant took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Guido Bautista, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, Club Almirante Brown's Severo Venceslas got a free kick in the 81st minute. A long shot from Salvador Gisbert in the 82nd minute of play was well struck, but Isidoro Dolfos made a really good save at the right post. When Guido Bautista came up free with the goalie in the 86th minute, the Club Almirante Brown fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Guido Bautista couldn't finish the play. Jonathan Ferrant made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Guido Bautista in the 90th minute of play. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
