In the 17th minute, Tomas Illescas got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 任常德 made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tomas Illescas in the 21st minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tomas Illescas in the 25th minute of play forced 『挑战者』银河俱乐部's goalkeeper 任常德 to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After having played for 76 minutes, Patricio Costa managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Venezuela's supporters crossed their fingers, but Patricio Costa was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Tomas Illescas received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. 任常德 came out and tried to block the shot, but Tomas Illescas slotted it home off the left post making it 0-4 in the 79th minute. When Tomas Illescas came up free with the goalie in the 84th minute, the Venezuela fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Tomas Illescas couldn't finish the play. In the 85th match minute, 『挑战者』银河俱乐部 was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by 王枫威 to maneuver through the defense. The crowd rose to their feet as Venezuela's Tomas Illescas slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of 任常德. That made the score 0-5 after 87 minutes of play. 任常德 made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Patricio Costa in the 92nd minute of play. 任常德 stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Tomas Illescas's shot from short distance in the 93rd minute. Venezuela's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
