The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Juan Manuel Cruz to strike the kick off in the second half. Pedro Manzanares made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Juan Manuel Cruz in the 51st minute of play. Axel Montenegro could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 55th minute of the match, but Serafin Cesaro made a huge save. If Axel Montenegro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. ROSARIO CENTRAL F.C.'s Bengt-Arne Åberg was substituted for Juan Manuel Cruz. ROSARIO CENTRAL F.C.'s Cleto Onbera was substituted for Leon Acevedo. Colombia's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. ROSARIO CENTRAL F.C.'s Serafin Cesaro proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 94th minute of the match, managed to save ROSARIO CENTRAL F.C. from getting a goal against them. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. ROSARIO CENTRAL F.C. had won after a very even match.
