Peru's defense didn't have a chance, in the 15th minute, when Javier Della Francesca scored to the left of an out of position Rolando Noboa, making the score, 1-0. In the 19th minute Alvaro Sforza shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rolando Noboa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Luz Tejedor kicked well hit freekick during the 50th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, AC Roma's Ernesto Errolan got a free kick in the 52nd minute. Cristoforo Brillante showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Julian Murillo in the 79th minute of the match. Peru's Eliseo Alcocer was substituted for Moises Gayoso. Peru made a substitution. Antonio Tenorio replaced Luz Tejedor. Eliseo Mina made in the 82nd minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by AC Roma's Ernesto Errolan. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Peru eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
