Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) Amputees FC's Abraham Laing started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. The audience thought a goal was coming when Abraham Laing got free with Jonathan Ferrant in the 5th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Art Kidman kicked well hit freekick during the 6th minute of the match. In the 11th minute Abraham Laing shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jonathan Ferrant saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jonathan Ferrant didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Carleton Howie went, in the 16th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. With a little luck, Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant got control of the ball when Abraham Laing tried to sneak it across the goal line. Marcus Roach's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Jonathan Ferrant firmly grabbed it by the left post. 23 minutes into the match, Carleton Howie notched a goal, 2-0, to the right of Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant. Jonathan Ferrant was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Dean Watts was left in no man's land by his defense there! After some fancy dribbling in the 28th minute, Patricio Costa managed to get in a good position for a shot. Venezuela's supporters rose to their feet, but Patricio Costa was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Dean Watts breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Patricio Costa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dean Watts having to interfere. Tomas Illescas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 37th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-1 at half-time.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Tomas Illescas made a kick off. Patricio Costa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 51st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dean Watts having to interfere. Jonathan Ferrant stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Abraham Laing's shot from short distance in the 53rd minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Abraham Laing in the 57th minute of play forced Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Art Kidman during the 58th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 58th minute, Art Kidman hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Amputees FC's Marcus Roach got a good chance for a goal in the 60th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. With his leg Dean Watts managed to avoid a goal in the 62ndth minute, when Venezuela's Tomas Illescas fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. After 63 minutes Amputees FC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Tomas Illescas who took care of the corner kick. After 63 minutes, Alex Chicote mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Venezuela and the Amputees FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Alex Chicote hit a great freekick 63 minutes into the match. 66 minutes into the game, Abraham Laing cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-1. Jonathan Ferrant was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. With 70 minutes on the clock, Rigoberto Mina commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. After 70 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Venezuela! In the 77th minute, Patricio Costa got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The supporters of Venezuela booed when Amputees FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 80 match minutes in a wonderful position. Carleton Howie didn't get a good kick on the ball. Bishop Warhurst made in the 83rd minute of the game a quick throw-in and Pete Stebbing immediately put the ball in play. In the 85th minute Abraham Laing shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jonathan Ferrant saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Abraham Laing in the 96th minute of play. 99 minutes into the match, Abraham Laing had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Jonathan Ferrant. Venezuela's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Abraham Laing was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 6-1.
