The supporters of Haiti booed when AVAÍ F.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 97 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gláuber Meirelles didn't get a good kick on the ball. 98 minutes into the match, Haiti's Jonathan Alphonse broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. The Haiti fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. AVAÍ F.C. were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
