USA's Marco Day played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luís Caeiro in the 15th minute of play. Marco Day showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Luís Caeiro, who was totally free with the ball in the 16th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Monty Rogers in the 18th minute of play forced VB-Team's goalkeeper Armindo Salgado to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Shao Kun Yuan's late challenge caught a USA's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Shao Kun Yuan helped the player get up and apologised. After 18 played minutes VB-Team got a freekick which was hit by Shao Kun Yuan. Armindo Salgado made an important save on a dangerous shot by Cassius Byrne in the 19th minute. If Monty Rogers had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Armindo Salgado showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Monty Rogers, who was totally free with the ball in the 30th minute. In the 30th minute, Monty Rogers ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Armindo Salgado was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. Cassius Byrne blasted a shot towards the goal in the 34th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Armindo Salgado having to make a save. Armindo Salgado showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cassius Byrne, who was totally free with the ball in the 34th minute. Armindo Salgado made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Monty Rogers in the 36th minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Monty Rogers in the 38th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Armindo Salgado prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Marco Day took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gervásio Severiano, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Joaquim de Barros was the one to do the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Monty Rogers in the 52nd minute of play forced VB-Team's goalkeeper Armindo Salgado to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Joaquim de Barros in the 60th minute of play forced USA's goalkeeper Marco Day to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 61st minute, César Sampaio hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. César Sampaio kicked well hit freekick during the 62nd minute of the match. 63 minutes into the match, USA's Cassius Byrne sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Armindo Salgado narrowly saved just below the crossbar. If Luís Caeiro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Edward Mcdonald took the ball and in the 66 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Armindo Salgado. Armindo Salgado dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-0. VB-Team made a substitution. Qiu Sheng Bang replaced Sandro Leitão. After a defensive mix-up in VB-Team's zone, Sam Campbell stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Armindo Salgado came out of the goal and Sam Campbell tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Luís Caeiro in the 76th minute of play forced USA's goalkeeper Marco Day to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The USA fans' excitement grew in the 82nd match minute when USA's Sam Campbell looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 3-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. USA's Marco Baker was substituted for Edward Mcdonald. USA's Khalid Parry was substituted for Monty Rogers. Marco Day stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Luís Caeiro's shot from short distance in the 87th minute. When the match had gone on for 89 minutes, Traian Hăvârneanu put it in 3-1 from a short distance just to the right of Marco Day. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The USA fans cheered their team off the field, for while VB-Team had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
