In the 8th minute, one of Peru:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Peru. In the 10th minute there was a penalty for VB-Team. Luís Caeiro stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Rolando Noboa. 0-1. VB-Team's Armindo Salgado proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 15th minute of the match, managed to save VB-Team from getting a goal against them. Armindo Salgado made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Julian Murillo in the 19th minute of play. Armindo Salgado made an important save on a dangerous shot by Julian Murillo in the 21st minute. 23 minutes into the match, Peru's goal looked a bit too open when Joaquim de Barros came free, but Rolando Noboa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 26 minutes into the match, VB-Team's goalkeeper Armindo Salgado had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Julian Murillo. VB-Team's Armindo Salgado played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Julian Murillo in the 31st minute of play. If Milagros Fraga had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Joaquim de Barros in the 36th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Rolando Noboa saved Peru from getting behind. The audience thought a goal was coming when Luz Tejedor got free with Armindo Salgado in the 37th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Luz Tejedor hit a great freekick 39 minutes into the match. 43 minutes into the match, VB-Team's goalkeeper Armindo Salgado had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Julian Murillo. Peru's Eliseo Mina quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Arthur Guerra, made in the 46th minute of the game. Armindo Salgado made a fantastic save in the 47th minute, when Julian Murillo sent off a good shot on target. The Peru players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. VB-Team were winning 0-1.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Joaquim de Barros to strike the kick off in the second half. Peru's attentive Eliseo Mina managed to snatch the ball when Arthur Guerra made a throw-in in the 54th minute of the game. The audience thought a goal was coming when Joaquim de Barros got free with Rolando Noboa in the 55th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Gervásio Severiano could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 56th minute of the match, but Rolando Noboa made a huge save. Arthur Guerra made in the 59th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Peru's Eliseo Mina. An unexpectedly hard shot by Julian Murillo in the 75th minute of play forced VB-Team's goalkeeper Armindo Salgado to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 76 minutes into the match, Peru's goal looked a bit too open when Luís Caeiro came free, but Rolando Noboa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 77 minutes had been played when some careless play by Peru's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Peru made a substitution. Eliseo Alcocer replaced Moises Gayoso. A collision led to Peru getting a freekick after 82 minutes play. Anthony Alvarado hit a great ball. It was beautiful to see VB-Team's Arthur Guerra in action when he in the 84th minute dribbled his way through a couple of opponents and the fired away a shot from almost standing still. First the ball seemed to get in, but turned out to be on the outside of the net. A great chance! 87 minutes into the match, VB-Team's goal looked a bit too open when Rafael Gallo came free, but Armindo Salgado reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 88th minute the ball was on its way in behind VB-Team's goalkeeper Armindo Salgado, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Rafael Gallo struck a weak shot in the 90th minute. Armindo Salgado didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Peru. Traian Hăvârneanus short, quick shot in the 92ndth minute got Rolando Noboa to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. In the 93rd minute Traian Hăvârneanu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rolando Noboa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 95 minutes into the match, Peru's Rafael Gallo sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Armindo Salgado narrowly saved just below the crossbar. With a little luck, Peru's Rolando Noboa got control of the ball when Traian Hăvârneanu tried to sneak it across the goal line. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched VB-Team eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
