Washington Arantes made a well adjusted shot against goal in the 17thth minute coming free in front of the goal, but Marco Day would not let the ball come through at any expense and made a nice save by the left post. In the 18th minute CLAYMORE COUNTRY were awarded a corner. Sten Lindell went to the cornerflag to take it. After 18 played minutes Sten Lindell scored with a long sweeping shot just to the left of Marco Day who was too lazy, 1-0. In the 22nd minute Anísio Azevedo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marco Day saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Marco Day showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gilbert Bonsaint, who was totally free with the ball in the 25th minute. In the 27th match minute, CLAYMORE COUNTRY was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sten Lindell to maneuver through the defense. USA's Marco Day played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Washington Arantes in the 51st minute of play. Monty Rogers blasted a shot towards the goal in the 53rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Lucas Maciel having to make a save. Anísio Azevedo struck a weak shot in the 56th minute. Marco Day didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for CLAYMORE COUNTRY. Cassius Byrne in the 60thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Lucas Maciel, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Marco Day took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gilbert Bonsaint, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The audience thought a goal was coming when Sam Campbell got free with Lucas Maciel in the 85th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 2-0 became the score in the 87th minute when Anísio Azevedo elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. USA's Khalid Parry was substituted for Monty Rogers. USA's Marco Baker was substituted for Edward Mcdonald. Khalid Parry fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lucas Maciel having to interfere. After 95 played minutes USA got a freekick which was hit by Marco Baker.
