The crowd rose to their feet as Roy Maciver kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Jonathan Ferrant. That made the score 1-1 in the 22 minute of play. Danilo Pinho received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 25th minute. Jonathan Ferrant tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Elano Silveira hit a great freekick 32 minutes into the match. The supporters of Fast layne Fc booed when Venezuela was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 36 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rigoberto Mina didn't get a good kick on the ball. After having played for 42 minutes, Tomas Illescas managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Venezuela's supporters crossed their fingers, but Tomas Illescas was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 44th minute of the match, managed to save Venezuela from getting a goal against them. In the 45th minute Gildo Albuquerque shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jonathan Ferrant saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Tomas Illescas to strike the kick off in the second half. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Gildo Albuquerque in the 68th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jonathan Ferrant saved Venezuela from getting behind. In the 69th match minute, Venezuela was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tomas Illescas to maneuver through the defense. Fast layne Fc made a substitution. Bruninho Falcão replaced Jorge Mangueira. In the 79th minute, Venezuela's Patricio Costa dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-3.
