Spectators: 45 (Terracing: 35, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Txema Cerbera took the kick off in the first half of the match. In the 3rd minute, Sam Lunt made a precise shot to the right of Julio Vera. Ecuador's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-0. After 8 played minutes Modernians got a freekick which was hit by Harvey Goodwin. Julio Vera made a fantastic save in the 11th minute, when Sam Lunt sent off a good shot on target. 13 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Txema Cerbera. The audience thought a goal was coming when Txema Cerbera got free with Julio Vera in the 21st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Julio Vera was a little too slow when Txema Cerbera got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 21st minute. The score was now 3-0. Daniel Zorita recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 26th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Sam Lunts short, quick shot in the 28thth minute got Julio Vera to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Modernians's Kaur Kapten played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Daniel Zorita in the 29th minute of play. Txema Cerbera kicked well hit freekick during the 32nd minute of the match. 36 minutes into the game, 何超光 was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Kaur Kapten didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ecuador. 42 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Thomas Stenger. Julio Vera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Txema Cerbera in the 45th minute of play. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Daniel Zorita was the one to do the kick off. In the 54th minute, Cristian Sancho got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 56 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goal looked a bit too open when Eliodor Rădulescu came free, but Julio Vera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Julio Vera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Txema Cerbera in the 62nd minute of play. In the 62nd match minute, Ecuador was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Camilo Gisbert to maneuver through the defense. After a rather tough play, Ecuador's Daniel Zorita got a free kick in the 71st minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sam Lunt in the 72nd minute of play forced Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After having played for 75 minutes, 李伟乐 managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Modernians's supporters crossed their fingers, but 李伟乐 was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Modernians's Sam Lunt got a good chance for a goal in the 80th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 83 minutes into the match, Sam Lunt had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Julio Vera. Ecuador's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Sam Lunt was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-0. When Luis Andino came up free with the goalie in the 88th minute, the Ecuador fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Luis Andino couldn't finish the play.
