Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Ecuador's Daniel Zorita started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Jairo de Andrade's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Julio Vera firmly grabbed it by the left post. Erland Österberg made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Daniel Zorita in the 6th minute of play. Cristian Sancho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 7th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Erland Österberg showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Felix Montenegro, who was totally free with the ball in the 12th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Luis Andino in the 13th minute of play forced Macoma Yoldia's goalkeeper Erland Österberg to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 16th minute of the match Ecuador got a corner. Macoma Yoldia's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Daniel Zorita ran over to the corner to take the kick. Jairo de Andrade fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Julio Vera having to interfere. 19 minutes into the game, Daniel Zorita cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Erland Österberg was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Daniel Zorita received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 22nd minute. Erland Österberg tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 25th minute Luis Andino shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Erland Österberg saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Cristian Sancho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 28th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Daniel Zorita received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 30th minute. Erland Österberg tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Julio Vera made a fantastic save in the 33rd minute, when Jairo de Andrade sent off a good shot on target. Erland Österberg took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Daniel Zorita, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Cristian Sancho received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 39th minute. Erland Österberg tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 42nd minute, Cristian Sancho got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Daniel Zorita recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 44th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Kent Juhlin to make the kick off. Cristian Sancho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 51st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. With a little luck, Macoma Yoldia's Erland Österberg got control of the ball when Cristian Sancho tried to sneak it across the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Ecuador's zone, Kent Juhlin stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Julio Vera came out of the goal and Kent Juhlin tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. A hard shot 58 in the game by Felix Montenegro from a close distance when the talented Erland Österberg managed to make a qualified save. Macoma Yoldia's players were relieved. Erland Österberg stood somewhat misplaced when Felix Montenegro came free in front of goal and shot 0-2 to the left of him in the 58 minute. With a little luck, Macoma Yoldia's Erland Österberg got control of the ball when Daniel Zorita tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 62nd match minute, Macoma Yoldia was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gilbert Bergström to maneuver through the defense. In the 66th minute Jairo de Andrade shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julio Vera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 66 minutes of play, Macoma Yoldia's Jairo de Andrade made it 1-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Julio Vera was left in no man's land by his defense there! Macoma Yoldia's Erland Österberg played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Daniel Zorita in the 70th minute of play. Erland Österberg came out of the goal in the 73rd minute to try and stop a shot by Ecuador's Felix Montenegro. But to his dismay, Felix Montenegro quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-3. Erland Österberg made a fantastic save in the 76th minute, when Cristian Sancho sent off a good shot on target. In the 78th minute, Ecuador's Felix Montenegro ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Erland Österberg. Erland Österberg yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-4. Erland Österberg made a fantastic save in the 81st minute, when Daniel Zorita sent off a good shot on target. 82 minutes into the match, Macoma Yoldia's goalkeeper Erland Österberg had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Cristian Sancho. The supporters of Macoma Yoldia booed when Ecuador was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 83 match minutes in a wonderful position. Camilo Gisbert didn't get a good kick on the ball. 85 minutes had been played when some careless play by Ecuador's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Sakarias Asklöv was slow to take the kick. During this time Macoma Yoldia's players had a chance to rest. A nice corner shot did that Sakarias Asklöv got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Julio Vera quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Macoma Yoldia's Erland Österberg proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 86th minute of the match, managed to save Macoma Yoldia from getting a goal against them. Cristian Sancho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Erland Österberg having to interfere. In the 96th match minute, Ecuador was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Luis Andino to maneuver through the defense. When the match was over Ecuador could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Macoma Yoldia throughout the match.
