Spectators: 45 (Terracing: 35, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) Costa Rica's Axel Tasis started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. When Aaron Alcocer fell near the penalty area in the 3rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Costa Rica's protests and gave Aaron Alcocer a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Orestes Football Club booed when Costa Rica was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 3 match minutes in a wonderful position. Aaron Alcocer didn't get a good kick on the ball. Mauro Filipo made an important save on a dangerous shot by Axel Tasis in the 10th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Erubiel Remicio in the 12th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Benito Sanz saved Costa Rica from getting behind. In the 15th match minute, Costa Rica was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alan Moruga to maneuver through the defense. When Alexander Carballo fell near the penalty area in the 16th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Costa Rica's protests and gave Alexander Carballo a yellow card for diving instead. Alexander Carballo kicked well hit freekick during the 17th minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 18th minute, Nemesio Berart managed to get in a good position for a shot. Orestes Football Club's supporters rose to their feet, but Nemesio Berart was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Benito Sanz breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 20 minutes into the match, Costa Rica's goal looked a bit too open when Nemesio Berart came free, but Benito Sanz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to Orestes Football Club getting a freekick after 23 minutes play. Ildefonso Leobardo hit a great ball. Benito Sanz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Indartsu Vega in the 30th minute of play. After 32 played minutes Costa Rica got a freekick which was hit by Eliseo Noboa. In the 36th minute, Lautaro Puig hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Benito Sanz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nemesio Berart, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The audience was convinced that Axel Tasis's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Mauro Filipo was relentless in the 45th minute of the game. 47 minutes into the match, Orestes Football Club's goalkeeper Mauro Filipo had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Lautaro Puig.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Nemesio Berart to make the kick off. In the 55th minute Nemesio Berart shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Benito Sanz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Axel Tasis hit a great freekick 61 minutes into the match. Costa Rica's Benito Sanz proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 62nd minute of the match, managed to save Costa Rica from getting a goal against them. Urbano Sesuldo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 65th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 67 minutes had been played when some careless play by Costa Rica's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Nemesio Berart was slow to take the kick. During this time Orestes Football Club's players had a chance to rest. Alan Moruga took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 71st minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Mauro Filipo. Orestes Football Club's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Nemesio Berart was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 73rd played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Eliseo Noboa might have been able to make a better finish in the 75th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Mauro Filipo. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Eliseo Noboa ran back to his position shaking his head. The supporters of Costa Rica booed when Orestes Football Club was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 78 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nemesio Berart didn't get a good kick on the ball. Urbano Sesuldo's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Benito Sanz read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 80th minute of play. Axel Tasis kicked well hit freekick during the 82nd minute of the match. A collision led to Orestes Football Club getting a freekick after 83 minutes play. Nemesio Berart hit a great ball. A hard shot 87 in the game by Nemesio Berart from a close distance when the talented Benito Sanz managed to make a qualified save. Costa Rica's players were relieved. When Ildefonso Leobardo came up free with the goalie in the 88th minute, the Orestes Football Club fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ildefonso Leobardo couldn't finish the play. Abel Carballo kicked well hit freekick during the 89th minute of the match. Orestes Football Club's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
