But to his dismay, Tomas Berganza quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Marcos Cotilla made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from 沈迪志 in the 10th minute of play. 林城谦 made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Miguel Miralles in the 11th minute of play. 11 minutes into the match, Miguel Miralles had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of 林城谦. Cylon's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Miguel Miralles was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by 曲冰卫 during the 16th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. 曲冰卫 kicked well hit freekick during the 16th minute of the match. If Tomas Berganza had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Cylon's 曲冰卫 quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Matthew Garrido, made in the 20th minute of the game. 汪飞文 kicked well hit freekick during the 28th minute of the match. The supporters of Cylon booed when Panama was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 30 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tomas Berganza didn't get a good kick on the ball. Cylon's 曲冰卫 managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Matthew Garrido in the 34 minute of the game. After a defensive mix-up in Cylon's zone, Isidoro Sarmiento stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. 林城谦 came out of the goal and Isidoro Sarmiento tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After having played for 38 minutes, 沈迪志 managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Cylon's supporters crossed their fingers, but 沈迪志 was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Marcos Cotilla showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from 沈迪志 in the 40th minute of the match. 曲冰卫 got his second yellow card in the match during the 48th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. After a rather tough play, Cylon's 曲冰卫 got a free kick in the 48th minute. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

During the 54th minute of the match 汪飞文 completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave 汪飞文 a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. 林城谦 took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Isidoro Sarmiento, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Tomas Berganza in the 61st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg 林城谦 saved Cylon from getting behind. In the 62nd minute of the match Panama got a corner. Cylon's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Abraham Alguacil ran over to the corner to take the kick. With a little luck, Cylon's 林城谦 got control of the ball when Isidoro Sarmiento tried to sneak it across the goal line. Cylon made a substitution. 庄志政 replaced 宋傲远. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tomas Berganza in the 71st minute of play forced Cylon's goalkeeper 林城谦 to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Tomas Berganza blasted a shot towards the goal in the 73rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without 林城谦 having to make a save. Tomas Berganza received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 82nd minute. 林城谦 tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 83rd minute, 唐昂源 made a precise shot to the right of Marcos Cotilla. Panama's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-2. In the 89th minute the ball was on its way in behind Cylon's goalkeeper 林城谦, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Cylon's 林城谦 played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tomas Berganza in the 92nd minute of play. 沈迪志 received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 97th minute. Marcos Cotilla tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Panama's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
