But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that 袁适昆 couldn't finish the play. Paraguay's Jacobo Nores played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by 袁适昆 in the 21st minute of play. 陆峰彬 scored 1-1 in the 26th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Jacobo Nores, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. When Hector Covarrubias came up free with the goalie in the 30th minute, the Paraguay fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Hector Covarrubias couldn't finish the play. 康杰傲 received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 33rd minute. Jacobo Nores tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 韩风珂 kicked well hit freekick during the 36th minute of the match. In the 40th minute, Hector Covarrubias fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of 刘威昆, passed just outside the right post. 康杰傲 recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 45th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Jaime Pardo was the one to do the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by 陆峰彬 in the 50th minute of play forced Paraguay's goalkeeper Jacobo Nores to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 55th minute, 袁适昆 managed to get in a good position for a shot. 特洛伊木马人's supporters rose to their feet, but 袁适昆 was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jacobo Nores breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 57 played minutes 康杰傲 rounded Paraguay's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 1-2. Primitivo Escribano might have been able to make a better finish in the 64th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over 刘威昆. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Primitivo Escribano ran back to his position shaking his head. If Hector Covarrubias had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The supporters of Paraguay booed when 特洛伊木马人 was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 68 match minutes in a wonderful position. 尹博响 didn't get a good kick on the ball. 刘威昆 showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Primitivo Escribano in the 70th minute of the match. Alan Campos struck a weak shot in the 75th minute. 刘威昆 didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Paraguay. After some fancy dribbling in the 81st minute, 陆峰彬 managed to get in a good position for a shot. 特洛伊木马人's supporters rose to their feet, but 陆峰彬 was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. In the 83rd minute, 袁适昆 got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The Paraguay manager could be seen shouting at his players as they walked down the tunnel after the match. He was clearly angry that they had squandered their superior possession, allowing 特洛伊木马人 to win.
