When Sebati Çiftçibaşı came up free with the goalie in the 77th minute, the Chamaicó fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Sebati Çiftçibaşı couldn't finish the play. Felix Montes hit a great freekick 79 minutes into the match. Julio Vera came out of the goal in the 86th minute to try and stop a shot by Chamaicó's Sebati Çiftçibaşı. But to his dismay, Sebati Çiftçibaşı quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-0. 93 minutes into the match, Chamaicó's goalkeeper Leonel Cefero had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Daniel Zorita. Ecuador's supporters were dissatisfied at the end of the match because Chamaicó had won, even though Ecuador had held more of the ball.
