But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Cristian Sancho couldn't finish the play. Daniel Zorita fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 8th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Aurelio Di Luca having to interfere. Aurelio Di Luca was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Cristian Sancho showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-0 in the 11 minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cristian Sancho in the 13th minute of play forced Atletico San Jacopino's goalkeeper Aurelio Di Luca to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Daniel Zorita recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 30th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Er Didia kicked well hit freekick during the 38th minute of the match. In the 38th minute, Fernando Mesquita hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Atletico San Jacopino's Aurelio Di Luca proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 41st minute of the match, managed to save Atletico San Jacopino from getting a goal against them. Aurelio Di Luca made a fantastic save in the 44th minute, when Daniel Zorita sent off a good shot on target. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

In the 54th minute the ball was on its way in behind Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. A nice corner shot did that Sergio Sandalio got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Julio Vera quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. 57 minutes into the match, Atletico San Jacopino's goal looked a bit too open when Daniel Zorita came free, but Aurelio Di Luca reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Sergio Sandalio hit a great ball. Julio Vera showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Amos Atroce in the 88th minute of the match. Ferruccio Nicolai kicked well hit freekick during the 91st minute of the match.
