With a little luck, Bacho Team's Ernesto Padro got control of the ball when Orlando Casaus tried to sneak it across the goal line. Thiago Pliego took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ivo de Sousa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Chile's Thiago Pliego played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ivo de Sousa in the 87th minute of play. 91 minutes into the match, Bacho Team's goalkeeper Ernesto Padro had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Mariano Lacasa. After some fancy dribbling in the 93rd minute, Ivo de Sousa managed to get in a good position for a shot. Bacho Team's supporters rose to their feet, but Ivo de Sousa was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Thiago Pliego breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Chile were disappointed that they only managed a draw, even though they felt themselves to be the better team.
