Mariusz Mielak made an important save on a dangerous shot by Tomas Illescas in the 10th minute. In the 16th minute of the match CWKS Legia got a corner. Venezuela's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Damazy Zawaski ran over to the corner to take the kick. 18 minutes into the game, CWKS Legia's Dominik Pruss nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Jonathan Ferrant made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. In the 22nd minute Antoni Parzysz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jonathan Ferrant saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in CWKS Legia's zone, Tomas Illescas stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Mariusz Mielak came out of the goal and Tomas Illescas tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Antoni Parzysz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some careless play in the Venezuela defense, Ludomir Barowicz kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Jonathan Ferrant. The Venezuela fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jonathan Ferrant should have stopped the shot. Tomas Illescas could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 46th minute of the match, but Mariusz Mielak made a huge save. In the 48th minute, Ludomir Barowicz left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The CWKS Legia fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-4. After the first half CWKS Legia were leading 0-4. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The wind increased when Tomas Illescas made the kick off in the second half. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Tomas Illescas in the 57th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Mariusz Mielak prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Guillermo Mariano hit a great freekick 59 minutes into the match. Tomas Illescas blasted a shot towards the goal in the 62nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Mariusz Mielak having to make a save. Mariusz Mielak took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tomas Illescas, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Jonathan Ferrant was out of position in the 64 minute of play, and Antoni Parzysz capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Antoni Parzysz really showed his touch with that goal: 0-5. After a rather tough play, Venezuela's Rigoberto Mina got a free kick in the 66th minute. After 77 played minutes Venezuela got a freekick which was hit by Salvador Gisbert. In the 78th minute, Salvador Gisbert hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The supporters of Venezuela booed when CWKS Legia was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 81 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dominik Pruss didn't get a good kick on the ball. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. CWKS Legia walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
